Eltham Woods Childcare Cooperative is a unique long day care and kindergarten located in Eltham, Victoria.
Goal: The goal of this project was to strategically plan and deliver a digital transformation for Eltham Woods. WebSolutionZ has worked with Aprille at Eltham Woods for many years so we have extensive background knowledge of the organisation's goals and requirements and we were able to provide guidance and direction to develop a fresh approach for 2023.
Requirements: The existing website was several years old and the software had reached end-of-life. The organisation wanted a fresh new approach with new content, while also maintaining existing SEO and importantly, they were keen to have a platform which was simpler for them to self-manage content updates.
Recommendation: Based on the requirements, we overhauled the branding and came up with a fresh new look, and worked with the client on an information architecture process to design clear pathways for different audience demographics. We recommended a Squarespace website as these sites are very simple to use, require minimal management and overheads, and Squarespace provides free comprehensive video and text-based instruction manuals.
Outcomes: The new website maintained the homepage animated slideshow and overall structure. Existing images were reloaded to ensure they were as high-resolution as possible, and new images were added. We focussed on building a bold and streamlined website that would be easy to manage. The site structure includes a comprehensive navigation, image galleries, an FAQ and a contact form.
